What I was trying

Could a landing page be an object instead of a page? The pitch is we buy your old games and toys, so the site is the thing you would sell them. Each channel is drawn onto a 2D canvas with two pixel fonts and no image assets, pushed through a VHS shader (tracking wobble, head-switching noise, chroma bleed, scanlines) in an offscreen WebGL context, and mapped onto the tube in three.js. Leave it alone and it surfs its own channels. Power it off and the picture collapses to a bright line, like the real thing.

Where it stalled

It needs WebGL, a 3.5 MB television model and two web fonts before it can say hello, and it has not had a phone-sized pass. Right now it reads as a pitch, not a shipped site.
