What I was trying

I wanted a Japanese drill I would actually open. So it’s a game: each sector is a skill tree of cells, a cell teaches a small batch and immediately makes you recall it, and the run mixes recognition, recall, typing the romaji and filling in particles. Every answer feeds a Leitner-style spaced-repetition queue, sectors unlock on total XP, and the UI labels swap to Japanese as you decrypt more of the grid, each with an English tooltip as a safety net. Seventy-three cells across seven sectors, everything saved in the browser.

Where it stalled

Content. The game loop is done and the datasets are easy to extend, but N4 is half filled and N3 and up don’t exist yet, and I’m the only one entering them. It also needs a real person who reads Japanese to check the readings.
